There's a charming little café and guesthouse called Si Yaek Huatakhe Cafe & Guesthouse (also known as Bangkok Cat Boat Coffee) that offers a unique experience for cat lovers: a cat boat tour!

Located about 45 minutes from Bangkok's city centre, Si Yaek Huatakhe Cafe & Guesthouse offers an affordable, short cruise on a canal boat, along with some friendly resident felines.

These aren't just any cats that happen to be hanging around the café — the owners take care of these felines, and they're known to be quite comfortable hopping between the different boats and spending time with tourists.

The boat tour, which costs around 100 baht (RM13) per person, is offered twice a day, at 4.30pm and 5.30pm, and lasts about 30 minutes each

The boat ride is actually part of an environmental mission to help collect trash in the canal.

However, due to its popularity, one YouTuber shared that when she recently went on the tour, there wasn't any trash in sight.

The café itself is also cat-friendly, so you can cuddle some kitties in addition to taking a boat ride and catching the sunset with them.

Hua Takhe, where the guesthouse is located, is an old community settled along the Khlong Prawet Burirom canal

The community dates back to the reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V), making it one of the oldest parts of eastern Bangkok.

Here, you'll encounter century-old, two-story wooden shophouses and a historic market selling a diverse array of items.

Hua Takhe Old Market, a traditional canal-side market, is a popular tourist destination known for its laid-back atmosphere and authentic glimpse into old Bangkok

The market features wooden structures housing cafés, restaurants, and shops offering clothes and a variety of local foods.

It's an ideal place to find souvenirs, savour local delicacies, and relax by the canal. The market is open daily from 6am to 5pm.

The Si Yaek Huatakhe Cafe & Guesthouse itself is within a charming 100-year-old home, offering a relaxed and authentic local experience that perfectly reflects the laid-back atmosphere of Hua Takhe.

If you're looking for a unique way to spend an evening in Bangkok and you love cats, the cat boat tour at the guesthouse is definitely something to consider.
