1. Kong Sai Restaurant
Kong Sai has been around for years and is famous for its steamed chicken rice. They have several outlets, including one in Taman Paramount.
The steamed chicken is tender, soaked in soy sauce, and garnished with coriander. It comes with a special ginger dipping sauce that's an added bonus.
They also have other tasty dishes worth trying like pepper soup and fresh bean sprouts.

2. Meng Kee Steam Soup 1960
Located on the row of stalls opposite Kong Sai is this famous herbal soup stall that has also been around for years.
They have a variety of soups to pick from that are simple, homey, and perfect for when you're craving herbal soup.

3. Soong Kee Restaurant
If you've heard of the famous beef ball noodles in KL, they now also have a branch in Sea Park.
Their signature egg noodles come topped with dark minced beef and pork fermented in soy paste and other special herbs.

4. New Wei Xiang Restaurant

5. Washoku Japanese Restaurant
One of Washoku's latest outlets opened in Taman Paramount this year and has now become a great spot for PJ-ians who have a hankering for sushi.
Like most sushi restaurants, there are different coloured plates with prices that range between RM1.70 and RM4.70 each. They also have other Japanese dishes on their menu.

6. The Ganga Café
The Ganga Cafe in Bangsar has been popular for awhile now. So it's great that they opened another outlet in PJ last year.
I'm not the biggest fan of vegetarian food but Ganga Cafe is definitely an exception. They serve flavourful Indian food, plus they have really good service.
Most of their dishes are tasty but if you don't know what to order, I'd recommend trying their Chana Bhatura and Pani Poori. The staff are also helpful with recommendations.

7. New Seaview Restaurant
Sometimes all you need is a good bowl of pork noodles to warm your tummy. New Seaview has a stall that serves yummy pork noodles. It's so good, you'll finish every last drop of soup.
The chicken and duck rice at this hawker are also pretty good.

8. Thong Kee Cafe
If you've lived in PJ long enough, you've probably heard of Thong Kee. They serve amazing kopitiam breakfasts like half-boiled eggs, wholemeal toast with kaya and butter, and cham.
They are so popular that finding a table on weekends may be difficult, but you can order on delivery apps like Grab and Foodpanda.

9. Fluffed Cafe & Dessert Bar
Dessert lovers, you need to check out Fluffed in Taman Paramount for quality cakes and homemade ice cream. Their waffles are also a crowd favourite! So far, whatever I've had at the cafe has not let me down.

10. One Half x ilaika
Known to be one of the more popular coffee joints in PJ, One Half x ilaika's coffee brew tonic and coffee lemonade are refreshing, especially on a hot day. They also serve a variety of pastries.
While enjoying your coffee, you can browse through the store connected to the cafe, which sells curated Malaysian brands.

11. myBurgerLab & myPizzaLab
Other than serving burgers, myBurgerLab in Sea Park has added frozen food to its menu, such as marinated chicken that's easy and quick to cook at home during this time.
If you're craving pizza, you should definitely try myPizzaLab's versions, like their Honey Truffle Bella, Pepperoni, and Cheese and Tomato flavours, among others.

15. Chipta 11A
This fine-dining restaurant offers a unique dining experience. It's not a typical omakase restaurant but it does have elements of Japanese dining. They serve what they call 'curated meals', some with a Malaysian twist.
It's a good place for celebrations, special dinners, or just a treat to yourself. The 'Curated Dining set' includes 10 to 12 dishes for RM300 per person.

Monster and Beer is a craft beer paradise in Taman Paramount, with a variety of imported craft beer, from tap to bottle.
