1. Provisions

Located next to LI Restaurant, Provisions has already received attention for their sourdough baked goods and charming orange shopfront. Their signature sourdough toast is often recommended with LI's kaya spread.

Toasts are not everything in Provisions, they also sell brownies, scones, Margherita pizzas, as well as their own coffee blend.

2. Dou Dou Bake

In an interview with Malay Mail, one of the co-founders of Dou Dou Bake insists on calling their bakery anything but a cafe. That didn't stop them from becoming one of the most talked-about designer bakeries in recent memory.

Dou Dou Bake's interior sports a very unique and raw aesthetic not seen in other bakeries. The bread and pastries sell out really quick and long queues are expected so you have to be there very early.

3. M'Laboori

You'll find this beautiful cafe sitting on top of Murni Discovery in SS2. Serving vegetarian food such as mushroom burgers and brown rice latte, M'Laboori also has a library space where you can read books and do work.

4. Spacegrey at Floralreef

Keep your eyes peeled, because this quaint and cosy cafe is located inside Floralreef florist. Previously known as Wallflower Coffee Co, Spacegrey sports a very rustic ambience, letting you escape the hustle and bustle of the urban jungle.

Apart from selling coffee and light pastries like soft-baked cocoa cookies with matcha filling, they also sell signature bottled drinks like Coffee Juice and Matcha Milk.

5. Slow Coffee

As the name suggests, Slow Coffee in SS2 asks you to take a chill pill and slow down your pace. This cafe is often frequented for their never-before-seen breakfast and brunch selections like Cinnamon Eggy Toast and Jerked Barramundi, which oozes high-effort. The cafe's most sought-after dish is the fluffy souffle, mixed with a sweet and crunchy combination of gelato and muesli.

6. Flakes

Another new cafe in SS2, Flakes boasts its croissant dishes which can be eaten plain or with scrambled eggs and ham. Crispy on the outside and buttery on the inside!

But that's not all, the cafe's modest menu also features some exceptional entrees: Black Pink, pan-seared salmon topped with quinoa and aioli or Ngau Fan, a bowl of rice filled with sliced beef, garlic chips, and poached egg.
