1. Dapor Putri

Homecooked food is the best kind of food. Dapor Putri is run by a mother of four who cooks delicious meals at home from scratch.

Some of the dishes she makes are ayam sambal balado, acar ikan masin, and rendang daging to name a few. She's constantly adding more dishes to the menu every week.

You can either self-collect from Ampang or get the meals delivered to you through MrSpeedy every Monday and Thursday.

The Secret Foodsmith offers homecooked meals that are tasty and healthy! For example, they explained that they use yoghurt and cashew nut milk instead of santan in their Kapitan chicken curry.

Aside from Nyonya chicken Kapitan, they also make Nyonya nasi ulam, nasi kerabu with ayam percik, and vegetarian nasi kerabu with tempeh percik, among others.

All meals are pork-free. You can self-collect from Pantai Hillpark (Phase 3) or arrange for delivery through MrSpeedy.

3. TaniaCooks

What began as just cooking for friends and family in June has now blossomed into a small business. If you're craving roti jalaTaniaCooks makes delicious ones!

A box of 10 pieces costs RM10, including chicken curry. You can also get them separately for cheaper.

She's recently started making beef lasagna for RM15 as well. You can place an order through WhatsApp.

4. Benjamin's Food Co

Tauhu begedil is total comfort food. When cooked right, it has the perfect crunch and fluffiness. Salivating just thinking about it!

Benjamin's Food Co makes plain and beef tauhu begedil with a sambal kicap dip for between RM13 and RM15.

5. YAMESUSHI

Whether you're having a party at home or just love Japanese food, YAMESUSHI makes fresh, halal-certified sushi that'll put a smile on anyone's face.

They also just launched meals such as Tamago Mentaiko Rice Bowl and Wafu Tempura Ebi Pasta

6. VJ Made

Home-based catering service VJ Made provides homecooked meals that are cooked fresh every morning. They have a different menu every week, with meals such as chicken curry, sambal udang, chicken tandoori with capati, among others. Each meal (unless otherwise stated) comes with basmathi rice and vegetables.

They also have vegetarian options available.

You can place an order by dropping them a message on Facebook or WhatsApp and self-collect from Bandar Seri Coalfields, Sungai Buloh. Or have it delivered to your doorstep for a fee.

7. Christine's Original Sambal

Christine Yong offers ready-to-eat homemade dried shrimp sambal that you can use in dishes, such as sambal udang petai, kangkung, mixed vegetables, or pulut panggang. Or you can have it with bread, rice, or noodles.

Each glass jar (220g) costs RM18, a packet (500g) costs RM35. They also sell other products such as kam heong paste, creamy butter sauce, Chinese braised sauce, and more.

You can self-collect at SS17, Subang Jaya, or let them know your area, and they can arrange for delivery.

8. Kueh Dayang

Kueh Dayang is run by a former air stewardess, who left her career, after giving birth to her child. 

Based in Cyberjaya, she now makes colourful homemade Malay kuih that look so pretty! Some of the kuih she sells include seri muka, lapis, cara berlauk, bingka ubi, and such.

Looking at all of Ala Dosha's Arabic food is enough to get your tummy rumbling. They offer Mandi chicken, kabsah lamb, shawarma, hummus, and other yummy Arabic food. Perfect for a shared meal with family or a group of friends.
