Datuk Aliff Syukri, the founder of local cosmetics brand D'Herbs, is currently being investigated by the police over alleged child abuse
The person who filed the police report claimed that Aliff Syukri hit the child so she would cry for a live video
The complainant said that he had told them to put the two-year-old in a shoe closet.
Then, he asked the complainant to join him in hitting the child. When they refused, he allegedly continued to beat the child with a shoe and left bruises on the child's body.
In the report, the complainant also stated that they came forward to protect themselves from being accused of hurting the child.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal confirmed that a report had been lodged over the incident
He also added that the case was being investigated under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001.
According to The Star, police had taken statements from all individuals involved on Monday, 2 March.
On 3 March, Aliff Syukri uploaded a censored photo of a police report on his Instagram along with the caption that read, "I am convinced that there is a reason behind everything that has happened today. Maybe Allah will give me an even bigger reward. I am shocked and sad."
Meanwhile, Harian Metro reported that the millionaire will be holding a press conference later today at Kota Damansara to explain the situation.
Last April, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) lodged a police report against Aliff after he posted a video of him rubbing ointment on his nine-year-old daughter's back after beating her with a cane:
