Malaysia Has Only 5 COVID-2019 Patients Left To Be Treated In Hospitals

The five patients are in stable condition.

Out of a total of 22 cases, Malaysia has only five people left in its hospitals who are being treated for COVID-19

According to Malay Mail, Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad mentioned that two patients, a 27-year-old male and a 32-year-old female - both Chinese nationals - are the latest to be discharged as of 20 February.

The Health Minister added that the five patients who are still warded are in stable condition

Three of them are being treated at Hospital Kuala Lumpur, while the other two are at Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah and Sungai Buloh Hospital respectively.

A total of 17 patients have fully recovered and have been discharged on 20 February.

The four-year-old was discharged from Langkawi's Sultanah Maliha Hospital on 4 February.

Meanwhile, the first Malaysian to be confirmed with COVID-19 was a 41-year-old man.

He developed symptoms following his visit to Singapore between 16 and 23 January.

He was discharged from Sungai Buloh Hospital on 17 February.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO) today, 21 February, there have been no new COVID-19 cases reported
