NGO Reports Man For Naming His Dogs 'Datuk Wira', 'Datuk Seri' & 'Datuk Seri Paduka'
The pet owner has since expressed that he has never meant to insult anyone with his dogs' names.

A non-governmental organisation (NGO), Putra Malaysia, has filed a police report against a man for naming his pet dogs 'Datuk Wira', 'Datuk Seri' and 'Datuk Seri Paduka'
According to Bernama, the NGO filed the police report on Wednesday, 8 February, against the pet owner after he uploaded several photos of his dogs with the royal titles on Facebook between October and December last year.
Putra Malaysia spokesman Mohd Izzani Mubarak Ibrahim said the owner is a lawyer who goes by the name William HS Foo on his Facebook account.
Izzani Mubarak Ibrahim said they filed the police report because they believe the man is insulting the royal institution
"According to the [links] on Facebook, [on Wednesday] we came across several messages made, which for us is clearly a severe insult to the institution of the king and the constitution," he told Bernama after completing the police report at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters yesterday.
"The titles he gave to the dog are noble titles from the palace. We respect his career as a lawyer but [we] are very dissatisfied with his actions [as he] should be fluent in the laws of this country."
The Putra Malaysia spokesperson hoped that the police would take appropriate action against the man
He added that the police report was made to also bring awareness to the community.
"It is necessary for the community to know that they should not arbitrarily take such actions to insult any title given by the palace. Let us all protect the sovereignty, constitution, and laws of this country," he said.
Dang Wangi district police chief ACP Noor Dellhan Yahaya has confirmed that they received the report, and the case will be referred to the Bukit Aman Classified Criminal Investigation Unit to be investigated.
Meanwhile, Foo has confirmed with SAYS that his dogs' names are Dato Wira, Dato Sri, and Dato Sri Paduka
"Yes, I did. And [there is] no law against me for doing so, as I never have intention to insult anyone," he said, adding that he has given his statement to the police.
"They (the dogs) are my children. These are words I use with utmost respect."
