PDRM Hunting Woman Who Posed Naked At Popular Photo Spot In Kota Kinabalu
The woman is seen exposing her body beneath her dress in a 10-second video.
The police are searching for a woman who lifted her dress and posed nude in front of the popular Maybank branch on Jalan Gaya in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
According to Malay Mail, a 10-second video of the woman committing the act initially surfaced on a Chinese social media application before becoming widely circulated on WhatsApp.
In the video, the woman is seen exposing her body beneath her dress as she poses and squats.
Kota Kinabalu police chief ACP Kasim Muda said the police have opened investigation papers on the case and are looking for the suspect.
"We will have to ask for help from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission to look into the background of the clip and the person who posted it," he said.
The case is being investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code for obscene acts, which carries a punishment of up to five years in prison, a fine, or both upon conviction
If the investigation discovers that the suspect is a foreign tourist, the authorities may take appropriate actions, including potentially banning the individual from entering or leaving Sabah in the future.
China Press reported that the suspect is believed to be a Chinese national.
The Maybank branch on Jalan Gaya became a popular photo spot among Chinese tourists in recent months after many users on Xiaohongshu, a Chinese social media platform, uploaded photos of themselves posing at the location.
Many tourists are drawn to the bright Maybank signboard, which shines vividly under the sun.
The trend has even caught the attention of Kota Kinabalu Member of Parliament Chan Foong Hin, who expressed his full support.
After Malaysians learned about the trend in August, many local prominent figures began visiting the location and posing for photos in front of the Maybank branch, further boosting the spot's popularity.
