A Security Guard Working At 3 Damansara Tested Positive For COVID-19
The staff tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday, 11 October.
A security guard working at 3 Damansara, formerly known as Tropicana City Mall, has tested positive for COVID-19
In a statement on Facebook, 3 Damansara said the security guard was confirmed positive for the virus yesterday, 11 October.
However, the said employee had not shown up to work since 9 October, after a household member contracted the virus.
"Mall employees who have had close contact with the said employee have tested negative for COVID-19," the mall said.
"Per the Ministry of Health guidelines, these employees will continue to remain in self-quarantine for 14 days and undergo another round of test (sic) to ensure their health before returning to work."
The mall has since taken steps to conduct deep cleaning and sanitise areas frequented by the security guard
The mall added that as a precautionary measure, high-contact surfaces, such as lift buttons, handrails, and toilets, have been coated with an anti-microbial disinfectant.
"The health and safety of our tenants, vendors, shoppers, and employees are our utmost priority," 3 Damansara continued.
"We will conduct another round of deep cleaning and thorough sanitisation of the public areas within the mall and office tower after closing hours tonight, 11 October."
3 Damansara is located at the intersection between SPRINT Highway and Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP) in Petaling Jaya.
At the time of writing, MySejahtera COVID-19 hotspot tracker indicated that the area around SS20 — where the mall is located — has reported COVID-19 case(s) within a 1km radius in the last 14 days.
