Malaysian independent professional shuttlers Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin Rumsani continued to display their dominance on the court, winning the 2024 Arctic Open men's doubles title yesterday, 13 October

Sze Fei-Izzuddin defeated world No. 2 Kim Astrup-Anders Skaarup Rasmussen of Denmark to claim the title in Vantaa, Finland.

The duo played an exhilarating match, coming from behind to overcome the defending champions with scores of 15-21, 21-15, 21-19 in a 72-minute final, reported the New Straits Times.

With this latest victory, Sze Fei-Izzuddin now hold the Japan Open and China Open titles as well.

FMT reported that their latest triumph should boost their confidence as they prepare for the prestigious World Badminton Federation World Tour Finals in December, which has total prize money of USD2.5 million (RM10.7 million).

The pair won USD148,000 (RM622,361) at the China Open and USD62,900 (RM264,456) at the Japan Open, bringing their total earnings to nearly RM1 million within a month.
