Apple Watch Will Be Able To Track Blood Pressure & Glucose Levels. But There's A Problem!
Apple Watches are gradually being marketed at health and fitness aficionados.
Soon, you'll be able to track your blood pressure and glucose by simply wearing an Apple Watch
According to Bloomberg, Apple has created a roadmap for 2024 and it'll involve health-related utility functions for the Apple Watch.
Apart from the ability to track your blood pressure and glucose levels, future Apple Watch models will also be able to tell if their wearers have sleep apnea. This would make the Apple Watch pretty useful for those looking to stay fit and healthy.
But there's one small problem: the readings aren't exactly accurate
Bloomberg's report went on to say that the Apple Watches won't be able to display exact blood pressure and sugar readings.
However, not all is lost because the Apple Watch will include a handy chart that will display trends. This means that it will notify the user if their blood pressure and sugar levels are trending upwards or downwards.
If there's an upward trend, you'll be notified to consult a healthcare professional immediately.
These features were supposed to be included in the first iteration of the Apple Watch
In fact, Apple envisioned its watches to be primarily used as a health-monitoring device. Unfortunately, these features weren't ready, so Apple had to market them as luxury wearables instead.
Eight years on, the Apple Watch is slowly being rebranded back to its initial vision.
