Pokémon Champions is set to release on mobile devices on 17 June, and pre-registrations are already live on the App Store and Google Play

The game is already available on the Nintendo Switch, but this mobile release introduces true cross-platform play.

This means players can seamlessly battle other trainers across different devices, provided you have a stable Internet connection.

The Nintendo Switch version, too, will receive a free update to ensure everything stays synchronised.

According to The Pokémon Company, players can carry over their progress across any device by using a single Nintendo Account

To celebrate the mobile launch, a special gift campaign will run from 17 June until 2 September.

Players can check their in-game mailboxes to claim a free Raichu, Raichunite X, and Raichunite Y.

These free items allow the classic Mouse Pokémon to Mega Evolve into two distinct, powerful forms during battles

Mega Raichu X activates the Electric Surge ability, which boosts Electric-type moves by 30% and prevents grounded Pokémon from falling asleep.

Meanwhile, Mega Raichu Y utilises the No Guard ability, making the accuracy of all moves exactly 100% for both sides.

The core game will be free to play, though optional in-game purchases are available if you want to spend real money.

Pre-register for Pokémon Champions on Google Play and the App Store to claim the free items.
