A 25-second video has gone viral, showing a man attempting to record an upskirt video of a woman at a supermarket in Jenjarom, Kuala Langat, last week
The incident occurred while the victim was holding a shopping trolley in a corner of the premises.
According to the New Straits Times, Kuala Langat district police chief Supt Akmalrizal Radzi confirmed that they received a report from the victim at approximately 10.36am on 9 December.
CCTV footage revealed the suspect lifting the victim's skirt in an attempt to record underneath.
Mohd Akmalrizal said efforts to locate the suspect are ongoing, and the case is being investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code and Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act.
