We recently had the opportunity to get up close and personal with the four models. While there are plenty of similarities, there are notable key differences as well.
First up is the iPhone 16. Apple's latest device now sports a slightly longer battery life compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 15

Capable of video playback for up to 22 hours, the device is super light at 170g and comes with Apple's A18 Bionic chip.
At 6.1 inches, it's also smaller than its larger siblings. However, it makes up for its size with a 2,556 x 1,179 resolution OLED display. Peak screen brightness is at 2,000 nits and comes with a 60Hz refresh rate.
Starting at RM3,999, the iPhone 16 comes in 128G, 256GB, and 512GB storage and is available in five colours: black, white, pink, teal, and ultramarine.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Plus is essentially the iPhone 16, except it's much larger at 6.7 inches

Due to its size, it also sports a screen resolution of 1290 x 2796 pixels. The device also comes in the same aluminium with colour-infused glass back as the iPhone 16 and is available in the same five colours.
Just like the iPhone 16, the Plus model comes with a dual-camera system that features a 48MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. Meanwhile, the front camera is also 12MP, and the device is capable of taking 4K UHD videos.
The iPhone 16 Plus is capable of up to 27 hours of video playback and starts at RM4,499.
The iPhone 16 Pro is the device to consider if you're looking for a more powerful Apple smartphone

Under the hood, the iPhone 16 Pro comes packed with the A18 Pro Bionic chip, allowing you to play triple-A games smoothly thanks to its 120Hz ProMotion technology. At 6.3 inches, it features an OLED display with a 2,622 x 1,206 resolution and comes with an Always-on display that allows you to quickly view important notifications without unlocking the device.
Camera-wise, the iPhone 16 Pro comes with a 48MP main camera, a 48MP ultra-wide lens, and a 48MP macro lens. Meanwhile, the front camera also sports a 12MP lens and the device is capable of taking 4K UHD videos at 120fps.
Another key difference is the Titanium with textured matt glass back that lends a premium feel to the iPhone 16 Pro. Battery-wise, it's capable of 27 hours of video playback.
There are four storage options available: 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1TB. The iPhone 16 Pro starts at RM4,999.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is essentially the same as the Pro model but larger at 6.9 inches, making it the biggest of the four devices

Due to its size, it's capable of up to 33 hours of video playback. So, if you're looking for an iPhone with a larger battery life, the iPhone Pro Max is a good option to consider.
Both the Pro and Pro Max come in four colours: Black Titanium, White Titanium, Natural Titanium, and Desert Titanium. Storage-wise, the Pro Max has three options: 256GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max is also the heaviest of all devices, weighing 227g and it starts at RM5,999.
All four iPhone 16 models come with Apple's all-new Camera Control feature and they're Apple Intelligence-ready

The Camera Control feature allows you to quickly access your camera app without unlocking your device. The button acts as a shutter button and provides zoom functionality, allowing you to focus on specific subjects quickly when taking photos and videos.
In terms of charging speed, all four models can charge up to 50% within 30 minutes. Display-wise, the iPhone 16 models feature a maximum brightness of up to 2,000 nits and a minimum of 1 nit.
The devices also sport the Action Button, which allows you to set certain settings for quick access in the future.
The iPhone 16 models are also water-resistant in fresh water to a maximum depth of 1.5m for up to 30 minutes and are protected from dust — without the need for additional cases or covers.
