Tesla produced over 400,000 cars in the past quarter and delivered approximately 386,000 units to their customers

This means there are about 14,000 Teslas out there waiting for their new owners.

If you've ever wondered where all the cars are being kept, we've got you covered.

Media portal Sherwood may have cracked the case

Sherwood used satellite imagery and object detection analytics from the Earth observation marketplace SkyFi to examine Tesla’s Gigafactory near Austin, Texas. By comparing images from a Thursday in October to a Thursday in March, you can see that the parking lots, outlined in green in the images below, became significantly more occupied.

Tesla appears to be storing vehicles across various locations in the US

Satellite images reveal nearly 500 cars parked outside Chesterfield Mall in St. Louis. Similarly, the mall in Moreno Valley, California, has also been used for storage, with a few hundred Model Ys parked outside Sears.

Although Tesla continues to sell hundreds of thousands of cars, it seems that Tesla is producing more than people are buying. This might be the best time to pick up a Tesla if you're looking for one.
