MPO Is Hosting A Family Fun Day Concert To Introduce Kids To Orchestra Music
Bring your little ones to explore the planet Earth through music!
The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) is having a Family Fun Day concert that's perfect for music-lovers of all ages
Presented by Alasdair Malloy, the showcase is themed Mission Earth and features songs that represent the planet Earth.
The immersive concert takes the audience on a journey through the galaxy, as they orbit the planet and experience it through music.
The Family Fun Day concert is happening on Saturday, 4 May at 11.30am at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS, KLCC.
The song list explores the colours of the planet — blue, red, white, and green — as well as the wonders of nature such as animals, insects, the weather, and sunsets, through the power of music
Sit back and enjoy Strauss' The Dragonfly and Also Sprach Zarathustra, Vivaldi's The Four Seasons, Mendelsohn's The Hebrides, Tchaikovsky's Arabian Dance from The Nutcracker, Scott's The Penguin, Britten's The Storm, and Portman's Sunsets from The Little Prince.
All songs are arranged by Malloy for a concert of uplifting and inspiring melodies.
Besides the MPO, Malloy is a regular guest with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony, The Orchestra of Opera North, and Sinfonia Viva. A glass harmonic specialist, he has also showcased his amazing talent in the USA, Hong Kong, Singapore, China, and Europe.
The concert will be helmed by young, local conductor Jebat Arjuna Kee and is suitable for adults and children aged four and above.
Enjoy a musical treat that you and your family will never forget
