"Princess Of My Heart" – LCW Melts Hearts With Tribute To Wife On Wedding Anniversary
Netizens can't stop gushing over the loving couple.
Datuk Wira Lee Chong Wei is back at it again with another loving tribute for his wife, Datin Wong Mew Choo
This time around, the retired Malaysian badminton legend is celebrating "the princess" of his heart on their wedding anniversary.
In an Instagram post on 10 November, Lee posted several photos with his wife along with a lengthy but loving caption honouring his partner, remembering the days when they both first met.
"Ever since meeting her 20 years ago, she — with her ponytail — has always been the princess of my heart," wrote the national hero about his wife, with whom he has played side-by-side.
Lee then went on to describe how he watched her grow up
"From being a girl next door to Malaysia's top junior female player, to Malaysia's best-ever female player, to becoming first Malaysian woman and only the second non-China player to win China Open, to becoming my best wife, and now the best mother one can ever hope for," he wrote in the caption.
He also credited her as the driving force for him to prove himself
Lee added that amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, he has watched Wong effortlessly juggle between being a homemaker and also taking on the duties of being a home tutor every day.
"Homemaker is way harder than badminton training and harder than any jobs [sic] on earth," he wrote.
"She is really the pillar of the family, and me. Love you, my dear Wong. Happy anniversary."
Lee's post has since gone viral with over 89,000 likes and more than 600 comments from netizens who couldn't stop gushing over the loving couple:
