Originating as a humble husband-and-wife business in Ipoh, Maria's SteakCafe has since opened up several more outlets in Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley area. Their latest outlet is situated atop the 1 Powerhouse building near Bandar Utama, a location that offers an unparalleled view as you dine.
Located on the 30th floor, this hidden gem bolsters its atmosphere with massive windows, casting its interior with warm natural light. And at night, it really feels like you're dining at the top of the world.
The combination of cosy vibes and luxury cuisine make this restaurant the perfect place for weekend dinners and celebrations. Or even a weekday lunch, if you're feeling like splurging on yourself a little!

Of course, the main reason you'd come to a steakhouse is to enjoy the steak, and Maria's does not disappoint in that regard, as only some of the best cuts of beef are served. Their Australian Tomahawk, priced at RM89/100g, is beautifully marbled and tender.
As with the best steakhouses, the steaks at Maria's are carefully curated to the requested doneness level of each customer.
What's remarkable is that whether the meat is ordered at a juicy rare or medium-well, it is always well-flavoured because of the nature of the dry-ageing process that all beef at Maria's is treated with.
The New Zealand Lamb Cutlet is no less impressive, priced at a straight RM108, featuring a trio of tender, succulent cutlets that are a delight to be carved up and shared among friends and family.
Those who are into luxury seafood can enjoy the immaculately charred and juicy Japanese scallops with tomato salsa, served as an appetiser.
And for customers seeking something simple yet satisfying for a main course, the Seafood Aglio Olio, served with fresh (and very large) mussels and prawns, is sure to delight.
What stands out the most, however, is the Sturia Caviar — a delicacy that costs a whopping RM390/30g, eaten straight from the can on crackers with only a dollop of light crème fraîche.
It's not exactly your everyday fare, but this truly is a unique experience, with the caviar offering a fresh, crisp taste of the sea that cannot be experienced with any other seafood.
