On Thursday, 30 March, Rapid KL announced that LRT services on several stations on the Ampang and Sri Petaling line will be suspended effective 2 April

According to the announcement released on the MyRapid website, the LRT stations that will be suspended are Bandaraya, Sultan Ismail, PWTC, Titiwangsa, Sentul, and Sentul Timur.

Trains in service between Bandaraya and Sentul Timur station will be removed due to safety concerns.

Rapid KL added that the decision was made following the structural damage and kinked track alignment incident near Bandaraya station that occurred on 27 January.

Higher bus frequencies have been added as an alternative mode of transport for affected passengers

In response to the suspension, Rapid Rail will be providing free LRT 13 and LRT 14 Bas Ekspres services in addition to the LRT 11 bus. The additional buses will begin operations on 2 April.

There will be 40 buses operating at a 10- to 15-minute frequency.

LRT 9 (LRT Hang Tuah - LRT Bandaraya) and LRT 10 (LRT Masjid Jamek - LRT Bandaraya) bus services will be suspended.

Passengers are also advised to use alternative rail lines to get to their destinations

Rapid KL advised passengers to consider other available rail routes as alternatives for their journey.

Passengers heading to Hang Tuah station can take the Monorail line via Titiwangsa station.

Those heading towards Chan Sow Lin can take the Putrajaya MRT line via Titiwangsa station as well.

Passengers are also advised to download the PULSE app and to follow Rapid KL's social media pages to get updates on services to ensure efficient route planning.
