5,000 Malaysians Set To Be Trained & Hired By Global Indian Companies
According to the Digital Ministry, the seven global Indian companies have a presence in Malaysia.

At least 5,000 Malaysians stand to be trained and hired by seven global Indian companies that have a presence in Malaysia
According to a statement from the Digital Ministry, this follows a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation and the National Association of Software and Service Companies (Nasscom) in New Delhi, India on 21 August.
Nasscom is a go-to trade and advocacy group specialising in serving India's tech industry.
The training and hiring will take place for over three years and will see Malaysians trained in generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI), cybersecurity, software development, and Next Gen technologies
The ministry is also in discussion with other companies to join the initiative.
Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo, who was present at the MoU signing, said the country aims to build Malaysia's pool of tech talents.
"As the Madani government continues to build world-class infrastructure and create a digital trust to attract investors, a crucial component to accelerate outcomes is talent," Gobind said, according to the New Straits Times.
Gobind said talent is important, especially in the rapidly evolving digital industry
Due to this, the ministry intends to reskill and upskill Malaysian youths.
"It starts with educating youths while reskilling and upskilling those who are already in the workforce," he explained.
"This is to ensure no one is left behind in our endeavour to create a digital nation," Gobind added.
