It's a rough time for small businesses, but here's how you can help.

Local food and beverage outlets need our support more than ever during these uncertain times

After the Restriction of Movement Order began on 18 March, small businesses all over Malaysia have been affected, as they struggle to stay afloat with the lack of customers.

Although dine-ins are not allowed during this time, we can still support them by ordering takeaways and food deliveries.

These are some of the local F&B outlets you can order food from right now:

1. myPizzaLab

Got a family to feed but not in the mood to cook? myPizzaLab is the perfect choice whether you're living on your own or with friends and family. They also have smaller-sized pizzas available!

myPizzaLab offers deliveries on GrabFood and takeaways at their shop.

Do take note that they will only accept cashless payments via e-wallet or credit cards during this time to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

2. Original Penang Kayu Nasi Kandar

Things may be tumultuous right now, but there's nothing better than a good ol' plate of nasi kandar to make your tummy happy.

3. Inside Scoop

The weather has been slightly crazy lately but at least there's ice cream to make things a little better.

Inside Scoop is offering 15% off all call-in takeaway orders during the next two weeks.
If you're celebrating a birthday at home, they also have a small range of ice cream cakes available on GrabFood.

4. Strangers at 47

Crepes, roast chicken, desserts, and coffee - whatever it is you're craving for, Strangers at 47 will have you sorted.

In addition to their current menu, they've also created a special menu with affordable pork-free dishes during this two-week period.

However, take note that only cashless payments will be accepted, so be sure to have your credit cards and e-wallets ready!

5. myBurgerLab

How about a cheeky burger while watching Netflix? Although you're at home, you can still enjoy burgers and fries (or even popcorn chicken!) during this time. myBurgerLab is offering takeaways and GrabFood deliveries.

Take note, they are only accepting payments through e-wallet and credit cards for hygiene purposes.

6. The Red Beanbag

The Red Beanbag will continue to serve homey meals for brunch and dinner. They also have lighter meals and dessert.

You can order anytime between 10am and 5.30pm through GrabFood or by calling in for pick-up.

To arrange for self pick-up, all you need to do is:

7. PichaEats

This is a great time to enjoy an authentic homecooked meal while supporting the refugee community in Malaysia - the people behind PichaEats.

The social enterprise is offering a promotion on their Buttermilk Chicken set, which can feed up to five pax and costs only RM99. They also have other meal packages available for delivery.

If you prefer a food takeaway, you can arrange to collect it from the Picha headquarters in Jalan Ipoh.

8. Feedsy Delivery

From now until 31 March, Feedsy Delivery is offering two dishes: Lemon Chicken Rice and Sambal Pitam and Kurang Manis Buttermilk Chicken.

Each meal costs only RM10 and is sold from Monday to Friday.

Although you can find their bread at BMS Organics outlets, Yookybites just set up online deliveries for their freshly baked bread.

Their bread has no artificial preservatives and is GMO-free.

10. The Foxhole Bakery Cafe

The Foxhole Bakery Cafe in Subang Jaya is offering 15% off all takeaway purchases (walk-in or pick-up). They also provide free delivery for any orders above RM30 to SS14 - SS19.

11. eat X dignity

If you're craving pasta, burgers, chicken chop, or even Malaysian food like nasi kerabu and nyonya laksa, you can get a yummy meal for less than RM20 at eat X dignity.

From 21 March onwards, eat X dignity will offer deliveries and takeaways between 11am and 7pm.

All proceeds go to the Dignity for Children Foundation to provide underprivileged children in Sentul and the Klang Valley area with education and work opportunities.

12. Sala KL Vegan restaurant

Sala KL is having a promotion during this time. You can get RM4 off all of their burritos, burrito bowls, wraps, and chimichanga.

13. December Eighteen

Get your lunch and dinner settled by ordering from one of December Eighteen's yummy dishes. We hear their chicken meals are delish!

All you need to do is order from their website or via WhatsApp. Deliveries are only available within PJ and Subang Jaya. With a minimum purchase of RM50, you can have food delivered to you for free!

14. Yellow Brick Road

Instead of the typical cafe vibe, you can set up your only little brunch spot at home!

Yellow Brick Road is taking orders between 10am to 5.30pm via GrabFood or takeaways.

Being at home doesn't need to be a bummer. You can enjoy cake, pastries, and meals in the comfort of your home by ordering from Kenny Hills Bakers. They are providing takeaways and pre-orders throughout this period.

17. Maria's Steak Cafe

You don't need to leave your home to have a good steak for dinner. Maria's Steak Cafe is offering 20% off all their normal priced items, along with free delivery if you spend a minimum of RM50.
