Sushi Tei Malaysia has ceased operations as of yesterday, 19 June

Sushi Tei had outlets in KL, PJ, Puchong, Penang, Ipoh, and Sabah. Except for the outlets in Penang and Ipoh, the Japanese restaurant announced that all of its other branches have shut down.

"We regret any inconvenience caused and we thank you for your continuous support all these years," it wrote in a Facebook post.

Outlets that are still operating are:

1. Gurney Plaza
170-02-02, Plaza Gurney, 170, Persiaran Gurney,
10250 George Town, Pulau Pinang

2. Queensbay Mall
3F-03, Queensbay Mall, Persiaran Bayan Indah,
11900 Bayan Lepas, Pulau Pinang

3. Ipoh Parade
G19C, Ipoh Parade, 105, Jalan Sultan Abdul Jalil,
30450 Ipoh, Perak

Meanwhile, the Sabah outlet also released an announcement yesterday, 19 June, stating that it's only a temporary goodbye and to "stay tuned".

No reasons or explanations have been given for the restaurant chain's sudden closure

Several commented that they wished they had known earlier so they could enjoy their last meal before the outlets closed.

However, a few suspect that the closure could mean something new for the Japanese restaurant.
