The bus en route to Terengganu from Melaka had two drivers and 37 passengers on board on Sunday, reported the New Straits Times.
At about 1am, the bus crashed into a trailer at the Bahau junction before it flipped over on a slope.
The bus was ferrying teachers and their children from SK Jeram in Masjid Tanah, Melaka, to attend a school programme in Terengganu, reported FMT.
The latest victim of the accident was a 52-year-old teacher named Dahlia Ahmad.
Rompin police chief DSP Nor Azman Yusof said Dahlia succumbed to her injuries while receiving treatment at Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital at 9.30pm yesterday.
The other victims were Dahlia's colleague Hasnatul Adilah Hassan, 48, the school's operation assistant Hamzah Ahmad, 60, and the tour bus' second driver Hadi Asyraf Mad Idris, 29
Hasnatul was SK Jeram's deputy principal, reported The Star.
She died at the scene, while Hadi passed away en route to the hospital.
Meanwhile, Bernama reported that Hamzah was scheduled to retire next month after working at the school for over 20 years.
His daughter said, "At first, he was reluctant to join the trip to Terengganu because he was not keen on travelling, but his friends insisted as he was scheduled to retire."
Hamzah died while receiving treatment at the hospital.
It was previously reported that everyone on board the bus was injured. The Rompin district police chief provided an update last night, stating that 10 victims remain hospitalised while 25 have been discharged.
