PDRM Stops A Teen For Violating CMCO But Learns That She's Running Away From Rapist Dad
Frequent sexual abuse caused the girl to attempt suicide by drinking floor cleaner.
Police recently stopped a 16-year-old girl at Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) for violating the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO)
According to New Straits Times, police detained the teen from Ampang as she did not have a permit to travel under the CMCO.
District police chief ACP Mohamad Farouk Eshak said that she wanted to go back to her mother in Kuala Nerang, Kedah, as she could not stand living with her father.
He explained, "Previously, the victim lived with her mother in Kuala Nerang, Kedah. However, in September 2019, her biological father gained custody and took her to live with his wife and four step-children."
However, the authorities discovered that she was attempting to run away from her father who is an alleged serial rapist
Harian Metro reported that the 42-year-old suspect has been arrested and was ordered to be under remand until today, 6 November.
He had been continuously raping the girl without anyone's knowledge over the span of several months since February.
Mohamad Farouk said, "The suspect is said to have been raping the victim in the early morning when other family members were asleep."
He added that the ordeal has traumatised the girl so much that in June, she attempted suicide by consuming floor cleaner. However, Mohamad Farouk noted that police did not receive a report regarding the incident.
Police also found that the suspect has a previous criminal record involving the rape of his sister-in-law back in 2004.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 376A Penal Code for incest
The suspect has tested negative for drugs, as reported by Harian Metro.
